COMMENTS WELCOME HERE

Well, that all sounds good and certainly helps gives my page a professional look, but what does it really mean to you and I?
I must admit my first experiences with RevenuePilot were anything but enjoyable or profitable.I had not the experience or patience to learn that first attempt,I could not seem to ever get their code to work properly, and to be honest their "get code" section is a confusing un-needlessly complicated mixture of too many choices doing not enough things.

This comes from RevenuePilot efforts to portrays themselves as a search engine rather then as an ad agency. Thus they do not have ads, they only offer you the results from searches on particular keywords, and they have many different ways of helping you attract viewers of those search results, known elsewhere as clicks on ads.:).However,that means they have a lot of code to choose from, codes for JavaScript Include,JavaScript Array,XML Feed Type1,XML Feed Type2,Text Feed, HTML Feed,Dynamic Popouts,Popouts,Dynamic Layer Ads,Floating Ads,Interstitials, Dynamic Banners,Banners,Verticals,Panels,Textlink Directories,Textlinks, and recently Error Pages.Plus of course you can not be a search engine with out Searchboxes!Talk about over kill!

To complicate matters further,no where are there any explanations on those code types,it is assumed that you know what they all mean and how where they work or do not work.

For someone that was used to simple html that you copied/pasted after making easy selections from a drop down,I admit I was lost.
I also could never find a keyword that paid anymore then a penny or two maximum,so in disgust I stopped using them. Not once but twice, each time I left after receiving just a few clicks and seeing the dismal results.

.Then I started these review sites, and in researching publishers sites I could not help put notice some seemed to be having success with them.Once I was actually publishing for a while, and seemed to be gaining some acceptance as a reviewer,I started receiving many enquiries about RevenuePilot and instead of just giving people my negative outlook I thought I should try them one more time.Needless to say,I am very happy I did.

I have since discovered what I was doing wrong back then,I also understand that before I was not getting premium ad prices as I was not using my own domain, and that my traffic and page design put me in the lowest level.I did what i was to proud or foolish to do before,I asked the support staff for help, and surprise, they did!

I now am very knowledgeable about the codes, and have even made some discoveries that will save publisher's thousands of dollars I am sure,if all who join RevenuePilot also read my tips in the Latest News column to the right.

Now then that all may sound like a very negative review so far,but I assure you my feelings have made a complete turn around from those first feeble attempts of mine.My thoughts today are all mostly on a positive note, and I do now recommend that you Join RevenuePilot

So lets look at why I am recommending them.Since this is after all an AdSense Alternative site, lets first look at places where RevenuePilot and AdSense differ.

AdSense's claim to fame as always been their "intelligent spiders" reading your content and delivering ads based around it.Sounds great, but anyone with experience knows that often leads to decrease in your earnings.(Read the wishing well story here)

On the other hand RevenuePilot allows you to decide which type of ads you think will be of interest to your visitors and also bring you the highest return.By choosing the keywords your self, and with the ability to have several different keywords rotating within one ad space, you have the chance to really effect your earnings. They even allow you to check out how much the keywords you select will pay you-not some mythical situation, but you,on your site.
Google refuses even to tell you what share they pay,RevenuePilot goes out of their way to inform you of every step in the process.

Both Google and RevenuePilot have what they call premium zones that they give their highest paying ads to.The difference is,a site like this one is receiving RevenuePilot best rates,a site in order to get Google's best rates would need to be much better designed, and have 1000 times the traffic. So you have a much better chance of receiving a $2.00 click from RevenuePilot then you ever will Google.

Support staff-Google,if they respond at all it is in a condescending manner, usually in broken and misused English only seems to know how to try and pass blame for any error back on the publisher.
RevenuePilot may not be the fastest, but certainly within a reasonable amount of time they will give you a friendly, helpful reply, and are not below admitting an error.

Google refuses to allow you to display any ads but their own,and if you look around here, you know RevenuePilot position on competitors ads, more the better,a happy publisher is a faithful publisher, something Google should listen to,but need not to as their success (well deserved,I will say that) ensures that they need not care what anyone thinks of them now,an enviable situation to some perhaps.

Minimum payment levels-Google has a minimum payout level of $100.00,which as been the downfall of hundreds of thousands of novice publishers,as it is a famous tactic of Google's to cancel a publisher for fraudulent clicks the week before you reach the payout level. If it was not an intentional thing why do so many get cancelled in their third or fourth month, just before payout is reached, and not get cancelled in the three months before? If they are truly cheaters, they would have been cheating in those months as well.Nuff said.
RevenuePilot has a much more realistic minimum payout level of just $25.00,a level many will reach in their first full month of ad displays. The sooner you put money in a publishers hands, the sooner they will feel part of the team, and the the chances of them cheating actually goes down the sooner they get some money.imho of course.

As mentioned earlier, RevenuePilot allows you to pick your own keywords to attract ads,and allows you to even check what the bids are for those keywords.I strongly advise you do not just find one or two words that bring high paying ads that have nothing to do with your website. While I am sure you will find an occasional person who is interested in whatever you choose,it is much better to have ten people find ads that pay even twenty percent of that high paying ads. Also, try and think like the person who sought out your website, why is he there? What interests him?Be sure to have keywords that reflect your site,do not just be a gold miner,be a true prospector.I assure you that if the only ads you carry are just for one high paying subject, you will get few clicks, and if they do not have a very good conversion rate, you are at risk of alienating that advertiser and then there goes your high bids, your ads will soon be paying less and less.

Use variety and different ad sizes and placements, maximum earnings are more important then maximum epc averages.(average earnings per click)In other words, better to have 10 clicks paying you $2.00,rather then one $2.00 click.

Why?much better odds of the advertiser making a few sales/conversions/sign-ups,plus you have had ten people use your service rather then one, thus you have a much better chance of return visits.Ideally of course, you should have at least five different keywords and select the option that rotates the keywords. One last thing to compare ReveuePilot and Google, both have strict TOS and will cancel you without warning for any sort of fraud,so please, save your self some grief and never place you pages with their ads on click exchanges or paid emails etc,it will just lead to disappointment. There are lots of legal ways to attract visitors,if people put the effort into them instead of trying to deceive.....nuff said.:) Well, that's all for now,be sure to check back often as I will be adding much more in the coming months, and I will always have the latest news and tips.

Please do not be shy, send me your comments and suggestions,as well as any information you may have on the ptc industry.i promise that if I use information from you then you we get the credit and a link. Also, don't forget to sign up for the next addition of my Newsletter.I really will be sending one out soon!

VITAL CODING TIP!
You May Be Losing Money!

RevenuePilot Publishers-PLEASE READ!

In a set of bizarre circumstances ,a flaw in RevenuePilot software or javascript was detected, and it is costing many publishers money in unpaid clicks. The why and how are not yet explained, but it seems that many of the clicks RevenuePilot refuses to pay for as "No Referring URL"was detected, are in fact a flaw in the some of their coding, and in fact if you make a simple switch in your choice of coding you will avoid missing being paid for those clicks

Several weeks ago I was attracted to an RevenuePilot ad on Marketing Your Business,an excellent resource site I may add.I returned to the site the next week as I had misplaced some of the info I found from that ad back then, and while I did not find the same one,I did find one similar enough to help me.That normally would be the end of the story, except for the brilliant detective work done by the webmaster of Marketing Your Business. It would seem that at the time of my visit, for reasons unknown,RevenuePilot was unable to read who I was and therefore did not pay the webmaster for the clicks on the ads I had viewed, citing "No Referring URL" as reason, and the webmaster politely wondered what I was using to cause such a thing.Since I know that my IP does not use a proxy, and that I use no masking tools, and since I had heard of the same thing happening to others,my interest was piqued.I searched my own RevenuePilot stats, and was unable to ever find any referring URL missing,in fact all my referring URL's show as the Keyword Results of the ad clicked on,not the site where they were clicked, nor the clickers location, though their IP's are detected, and I do get my share of unpaid clicks from ineligible countries.
This is way to long already,so I will just say that I use nothing but the HTML feed code offered by RevenuePilot(which is fully editable without returning to the code page,so can fit any application) and those who are not being paid for undetected URL's are using other coding methods offered by Revenuepilot.April 30th/07:
I would love to hear from any of you if you have any information you feel should be included here,or on any of my reviews. Please also do not hesitate to ask questions or send comments. However,if you send me any offers of any kind, you will be sure to have your IP blocked from ever mailing me again.Hope you understand.

footnote:I once again repeat my warning to TE members to never place pages with RevenuePilot or other premium ad suppliers directly on TE's.COMMENTS WELCOME HERE
